Unify Technologies launches Job Queue Error Notification app for enhanced job control in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Unify Technologies Limited today announced the availability of its efficiency-boosting Job Queue Error Notification app for Dynamics 365 Business Central on Microsoft AppSource, an online cloud marketplace providing tailored line-of-business solutions.
Unify Technologies is a leading specialist for the Dynamics 365 product suite, including Business Central, Sales, CRM, Customer Service, and Marketing. It has developed the app as a simple, fully integrated enhancement to Business Central’s Job Queue functionality. Once the extension is installed, it provides enhanced control for Job Queue management, with immediate automatic notification of any errors as they happen.
Rapid response to Job Queue errors
The benefits of the app for organisations running Business Central include significant reduction in time spent on manual monitoring, rapid response in correcting any failed Job Queues, greatly reduced downtime, and increased operational efficiency.
Job Queues in Business Central allow organisations to schedule and automate the running of specific operational reports and tasks at selected times on a one-off or regular repeat basis. Although Business Central’s Job Queues functionality is optimised for stability, errors or conflicts can occur for various reasons. Causes can include: running heavy jobs during particularly busy times, too many scheduled tasks, or a timeout for external services.
Unify’s Job Queue Error Notification extension mitigates the often unseen knock-on effect of such occurrences on an organisation’s operational efficiency by enabling per-entry email notification of such errors to nominated system users.
Full visibility for immediate corrective action
The Unify app automatically detects any Job Queues error as they happen, with email notification then sent immediately so that a nominated user can correct any failed Job Queues. Error information is detailed in the email along with the Job Queue that is in error state. The email can be sent to either a support email address or to one or more specified end-user email addresses. Multiple recipients can be set up for each Job Queue directly from the Business Central Job Queue page.
Business Central users clicking the “Buy now” link on the Job Queue Error Notification page at Microsoft AppSource automatically get one month free. Thereafter, pricing for one admin user is $12.50 a month. Once installed it takes seconds to add notification recipients to each Job Queue.
